Summary
Band 4 Recruitment Administrator - NHS England
Location: Canary Wharf, London (fully on-site, no remote/hybrid)
Start Date: October/November2025
Contract: Temporary until March 2026 (via Brook Street)
Pay: £16.44 per hour
Hours: 37 per week, Monday-Friday (9am-5pm, some flexibility may be required)

About the RoleWe are delighted to be recruiting for a Band 4 Recruitment Administrator to join NHS England's Recruitment and Training Team. This team is responsible for managing the recruitment, training, and placement of doctors, dentists, and healthcare professionals into postgraduate training programmes across the UK.
This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you'll be supporting vital recruitment processes that directly impact the NHS workforce.
Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs part of the recruitment team, your role will include:

Application Processing - Conduct longlisting and support with shortlisting of Foundation Doctor applications.

Interview Coordination - Arrange online interviews, serve on panels, check candidate IDs, and manage interview timing.

Data & Tracking - Maintain and update the master applicant tracker using Excel and internal databases.

Scheduling - Coordinate interview timetables and liaise with senior consultants and healthcare professionals.

Communication - Manage shared mailboxes and provide clear, professional correspondence with applicants and stakeholders.

Quality & Assurance - Ensure processes are accurate, timely, and meet NHS standards.

Strong IT skills, particularly Excel (essential for data management and reporting).

Excellent administrative experience, ideally in a high-volume environment.

Clear and confident communication skills when liaising with senior healthcare professionals.

Customer service focus, with professionalism and attention to detail.

Ability to prioritise tasks, remain organised, and work under pressure.

A DBS check, ID and references are required (processed by Brook Street).

Standard security clearance (2-3 weeks) before your start date.
