We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wavertree who are seeking an Interim SENCO & Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to join their leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a dual role, supporting the school's SEND provision while leading on safeguarding and child protection.
The successful candidate will work in partnership with the school's existing 0.6 SENCO, providing leadership and strategic direction to ensure pupils with SEN receive the best possible support. Alongside this, you will take up the role of DSL, working under the direction of the Deputy Headteacher and alongside the Headteacher, helping to ensure safeguarding is at the heart of school life.
This is an interim role where you will be expected to bring expertise, confidence, and the ability to hit the ground running, strengthening provision for some of the school's most vulnerable learners.
As SENCO you will:

Take the lead in managing safeguarding and child protection concerns, referrals, and systems.
