Your Role as a 1:1 SEN Support Assistant

You will work one-to-one with a student, supporting their academic, emotional, and social development throughout the school day. Key responsibilities include:

Delivering consistent, individualised classroom support
Supporting transitions, communication, and regulation techniques
Adapting learning activities under guidance from the class teacher and SENCO
Encouraging independence, confidence, and social interaction
Assisting with behavioural and emotional needs where necessary

What We’re Looking For
- A graduate (2:1 or above preferred) in Psychology, Education, or a related field
- A genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs
- Calm, compassionate, and resilient, especially in challenging situations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working with children or young people is advantageous (including voluntary roles)

      Who We're Looking For
      - A graduate with a degree in Psychology, Education, or a related subject (2:1 or above preferred)
      - Someone with a genuine interest in SEN and child development
      - Calm, compassionate, and resilient – especially when faced with challenging behaviour
      - Excellent communication and teamwork skills
      - Any experience working with children or young people (including voluntary work) is a bonus
