Angard Staffing is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Parcel Hub Team Leader at the NDC (DIRFT, Northampton NN6 7GX). This is a fantastic opportunity to lead operations in a fast-paced, strategically important environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Parcel Hub Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing shift operations, ensuring safety compliance, managing resources, and driving performance across key metrics. You will lead a team to deliver exceptional service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are in place and followed. • Manage shift budgets and drive achievement of performance metrics. • Plan and allocate resources effectively in collaboration with other managers. • Maximise automation throughput and manage maintenance escalations. • Lead and support team performance reviews and development. • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture. • Manage stakeholder relationships and lead change initiatives. • Act as the Dedicated Person In Control (PIC) when required.
What We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate: • Strong planning and project management skills. • Excellent data analysis and problem-solving abilities. • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills. • Resilience and enthusiasm in a high-pressure environment. • Experience in managing large teams and operations, ideally with automation. • Proficiency in IT systems and budget management. • Experience with Continuous Improvement and change management. • PIC training and ability to work with complex system data. Hours & Location This is a full-time role across variety of days based at the National Distribution Centre, DIRFT, Northampton NN6 7GX.
