Step Teachers are recruiting an English Teacher for a permanent role at a thriving secondary school, starting January 2026.

Duties as an English Teacher:
Teach engaging and well-structured English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that meet the needs of learners of all abilities.
Mark, assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback in line with school policies.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes literacy, creativity and critical thinking.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative resources and share best practices within the department.
Ideal English Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the English language and literature.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills as an English Teacher.
A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.
