This is a high-profile and highly varied role, and the post holder will:
Fuse and critically evaluate medical, technological, bio-scientific, epidemiological, environmental, and other information related to human or animal health to assess medical capabilities. This includes health security hazards and threats, military and civil medical capabilities and infrastructure, and bioengineering developments.
Develop subject matter expertise in future medical science and technology trends, issues and developments, by working with a larger science and technology community.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and stakeholders, ensuring intelligence output is aligned to their requirements, decision-making processes and timelines.
Produce and communicate high quality, impactful assessments in accordance with analytic standards and internal guidance.
Brief analysis to customers, which routinely includes ministers, senior civil servants, and senior military policy and decision-makers.
Participate fully in national and international community collaboration processes and activities.
Critically review assessments for publication, and deputise for the team lead where necessary.
