An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of a small but well-established support
team who supports a young man within his own home, the local community and work.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual to support an artist in his work and
to foster his independence.
You will have some knowledge and understanding of art and design practice and have an interest in gaming, Dr Who, current affairs and like dogs.
Applicants will require a good level of IT skills and have a basic understanding of film and photography editing software.
The position will require support with personal care tasks.
Experience of working with adults with Cerebral Palsy and associated difficulties including medical needs, visual impairment and speech and language difficulties is preferable but not essential as training will be given.
You will require your own transport to travel to and from work due to the rural location.
Please note that while these are the normal hours for this position there will be a degree of
flexibility required to cover shifts if they over run, support workers annual leave and sickness,
or if the young man is travelling away from home on these days.
