The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Process Engineer to apply their skills and academic learning to support a leading nuclear energy business on a permanent basis. As a Process Engineer, you will contribute to ongoing and new complex engineering projects. With a successful and experienced team around you, you’ll benefit from a wide range of skills and expertise.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
- Production of design deliverables (e.g. drawings, reports or calculations) to agreed standards of safety, cost, quality and time.
- Where appropriate, may be required to train and develop others.
- Involvement in improvement initiatives and projects.
- Comply with all legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and processes applicable to the role.
- Work within UK nuclear regulations and internal standards to ensure all designs meet legislative and safety requirements.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, safety, and project engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
- Liaise confidently with clients, regulators, and project partners to understand requirements and communicate technical solutions.
- Assist in planning, estimating, and delivering engineering work packages, ensuring alignment with project goals.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- BEng (Hons) or MEng (Hons) in Chemical engineering
- Proven relevant experience as a Process Engineer on Nuclear site or a highly regulated site.
- Be able to confidently liaise with external stakeholders and team members, both oral and written.
- Ability to independently seek out or develop one’s own answer to challenging technical questions.
- Capable of analysing situations and challenge the conditions, activities or solutions to support continuous improvement and develop areas of best practice.
