Description
General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look-out for a full-time Communications and Marketing Lead to join our team. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favorable salary of £39,600 to £49,500 based on experience and potential. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally. Joining an established team based at our Oakdale and Merthyr facility based in South Wales, you will work across a range of stakeholders, to support the development of an internal and external communications strategy for GDLS–UK. This role will be pivotal in enhancing brand visibility, supporting business development efforts, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels. If you were already working in this position, this is what you would have been working on this week:- Manage digital presence including website, social media, and content marketing.
- Develop and implement integrated communications strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with global GDLS teams to align messaging and leverage shared resources.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns to support product launches, events, and strategic initiatives.
- Proven experience in communications, marketing, or public affairs within defence, aerospace, or a complex engineering environment.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Experience managing digital platforms and content creation.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of UK defence industry and government relations is a plus.
