A Day in the Life of a Care Assistant:
As a home carer, you’ll support clients in their own homes, helping them stay independent and safe. You’ll provide a mix of companionship, practical support, and personal care, tailored to each person’s needs. No two days are the same – and every visit matters.
Your responsibilities might include:
Offering friendly companionship and conversation
Supporting with personal care, such as washing, dressing, and toileting
Helping with meal preparation, light housework, and medication reminders
Running errands like grocery shopping or prescription pick-ups
Encouraging clients to maintain hobbies and attend appointments or outings
Who We’re Looking For:
You’re a naturally caring person who enjoys helping others
You have good English communication skills
You hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car (essential)
You have the right to work in the UK
You’re able to commit to working every other weekend
Experience isn’t necessary – just a great attitude and a willingness to learn
