Summary
An exciting opportunity with a fast-growing manufacturer.
Steelcraft designs, manufactures and installs a range of architectural steel products for the construction industry in the North East. We also sell these products nationally through our e-commerce brand Forjj. As well as railings, gates, balconies, balustrade and handrail we offer sheet metalwork and industrial fabrications.
In order to achieve an ambitious growth target we require a commercially-aware Sales Estimator to nurture existing customer relationships and find new business opportunities.
Your role would involve:
Review tender drawings and documentation (including take offs).
Communicate & raise tender queries with clients.
Prepare accurate summaries and costing sheets for labour, material and services.
Produce clear and concise quotation documents.
Solve customer problems ‘pre-design’.
Attend occasional site sales surveys & pre-contract meetings.
Hand over successful tenders to the contracts team.
Prepare and update standard costs against in-house designs.
Follow up quotes.
Maintain & build relationships with existing customers.
Seek out and build relationships with new customers.
Grow the reach and product range of the e-commerce offering.
Monitor and maintain sales dashboard and KPIs.
Produce quarterly reports on sales.
Contribute to sales & marketing strategic planning.
Experience Requirements:
Any prior sales/estimating role – Advantageous
Any prior sales/estimating role within fabrication, metalwork, fencing, manufacturing or construction industries – Highly advantageous
Business Development - Advantageous
Customer Service – Advantageous
Site Surveying – Advantageous
Fabrication, Installation or CAD – Advantageous
Skill Requirements:
Technical Estimating - Advantageous
Computer Aptitude including spreadsheets – Essential
Time Management and Organisation - Essential
Ability to read Architectural & Construction Drawings - Advantageous
Communication Skills (written & spoken) – Essential
Full, Clean Driving Licence – Advantageous
