What skills and experience we're looking for

Oakfield Primary Academy is looking to appoint a dedicated and highly motivated Assistant SENCO to Provide administrative and organisational support. This is a fixed tern role until 31st August 2026.

This role is for 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only. The salary is based on Kent scheme pay scale KSE £27,852 full time equivalent, an actual pro-rata salary of £20,778.86.

The successful candidate will need to have a strong knowledge of the range of diagnoses and presentations of young people with SEN needs and a solid understanding of the SEN Code of Practice.

They will have excellent communication skills, must be reliable, enthusiastic, organised, pro-active and a multi-tasker who enjoys all aspects of administrative work.

The successful candidate will:

• have excellent verbal communication skills
• be able to work independently and within a team
• have the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
• have excellent communication and administrative skills
• be confident in the use of IT with a good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel
