Resourcing Assistant

Working Pattern Full Time hybrid working with 2 office days

Working hours 36.25 hours per week

Contract type Fixed term contract until 31 March 2026

About the Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity within our Resourcing Team. The successful candidate will supporting the delivery of the Council’s recruitment service to ensure that it is responsive, high performing and customer focused.

You will be joining a busy, fast paced resourcing function which provides recruitment services across the Council Directorates, ensuring the Council is able to fill its vacancies quickly, fairly and effectively.

The role will include:

  • Supporting a wide range of resourcing activities eg) responding to emails, compliance checks for new starters and management of the recruitment email inbox
  • Delivering a high-quality recruitment administration service.
  • Providing efficient candidate and stakeholder support.
  • Supporting key performance measures.
  • Attending jobs and careers fairs.


You will be joining an established, friendly, and supportive team who work hard to develop close working relationships with candidates and managers in order to deliver a high-quality service.


About you

We’re looking for a self-motivated and flexible resourcing assistant who can support the team to deliver a great service to both candidates and managers.

You will need to be an excellent team player and able to work flexibility to ensure service expectations, deadlines and performance targets are on course to be met.

You will have strong administration skills and knowledge of recruitment processes and systems. Previous recruitment/HR experience is desirable. You will have good attention to detail and be organised with the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.

You will have:

  • Demonstratable experience of working within a busy administration or recruitment environment.
  • Experience of developing good working relationships with others and be an excellent team player.
  • Excellent administrative and IT skills.
  • Keen prioritisation skills.
  • The ability to work flexibly and at pace.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach and commitment to improving service delivery.
  • Clear communication skills both verbal and in writing.
  • Ability to work to set deadlines.
