We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and forward-thinking, qualified accountant to join our Group Finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller (GFC), you’ll play a central role in ensuring robust financial control and reporting across a diverse and values-led group of businesses, including hospitality, property, and estates.The Devonshire Group is more than a collection of businesses - it's a community committed to stewardship, sustainability, and long-term value creation. Working here means being part of a collaborative team where your voice is heard within a supportive culture that promotes work-life balance and personal growth.What you’ll be doing:As Financial Accountant, you’ll help provide strategic financial support to the Devonshire Group's senior leadership, including the Chief Financial Officer, Trustees, and Family Office. Your responsibilities will include:Supporting the GFC in delivering timely and accurate financial and management reporting.Managing the Devonshire Group's tax processes, liaising with external advisors to ensure accurate computations and timely submissions.Assisting with cash management and forecasting, including funding requirements and group cash flow analysis.Leading the production of year-end statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory deadlines.Overseeing and evolving finance policies, procedures, and internal audit frameworks across the Devonshire Group.Supporting Family Office financial activities, such as investments and entities like Charco.Managing and developing Devonshire Group finance systems, ensuring accurate and accessible data for all stakeholders.Driving simplification and automation of financial records and processes.Deputising for the GFC, ensuring continuity in month-end reporting, consolidations, and internal/external meetings.This is permanent role, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role will be based at the Chatsworth Estate Office, Derbyshire, hybrid working will be available with a minimum of 2-days worked from the Estate Office.Who we are looking for:We’re seeking a detail-focused and collaborative finance professional who thrives in a multifaceted environment.
