Graduate Maths Academic Mentor

Location: Near Wimbledon, South West London
Role: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am–15:30pm
Salary: £500–£600 per week
Start Date: ASAP

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal Graduate Maths Academic Mentor will have:

• A recent graduate degree (2:1 or higher) in Mathematics, Economics, Finance or a related subject
• A strong desire to mentor and support young people academically and personally
• A confident and approachable personality with excellent communication skills
• An ambition to pursue a career in education, whether in teaching, mentoring or further training
• Prior experience tutoring, mentoring or working with young people (desirable but not essential)

The Role

This Graduate Maths Academic Mentor opportunity is ideal for Maths graduates looking to make an impact. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions to raise attainment in Maths
• Supporting both high-achievers aiming for top grades and students needing extra guidance to reach their potential
• Helping pupils prepare for exams through revision strategies and problem-solving practice
• Working closely with skilled Maths teachers and observing excellent teaching practice
• Building classroom confidence, leadership skills and teaching techniques — supported with training throughout the academic year
• Exploring progression opportunities, including access to teacher training routes in 2026
