Who We’re Looking For
The ideal applicant to this Graduate Maths Academic Mentor will have:
• A recent graduate degree (2:1 or higher) in Mathematics, Economics, Finance or a related field
• A genuine passion for mentoring and supporting young people
• A confident, approachable nature with the ability to engage pupils of different abilities
• An interest in pursuing a long-term career in the education sector
• Some experience tutoring, mentoring or as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential
The Role
This Graduate Maths Academic Mentor opportunity is ideal for any Maths graduate looking to develop their skills and make a real difference. Your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering 1:1 and small group Maths interventions with pupils across Key Stages
• Providing targeted support for both high-achievers and those needing additional help to reach their potential
• Supporting exam preparation and revision strategies, inspiring pupils to aim for top grades
• Working closely with experienced Maths teachers and observing outstanding classroom practice
• Building classroom confidence, leadership skills and teaching techniques — with ongoing training provided throughout the year
• Gaining an inside track into teacher training opportunities for 2026
