Role Responsibilities & What We’re Looking for
As an English Graduate Academic Mentor, your day will consist of:
• Using your degree and passions within English to inspire excellent learning outcomes
• Support students with learning both in and outside of the classroom
• Hold both 1-1 and small group study interventions to improve student progress
• Help pupils stay engaged and on track with their learning
• Instil a love for reading, writing and language in students
For this English Graduate Academic Mentor role, we are looking for someone who:
• Has achieved a 2:1 or higher degree in an English degree
• Ideally a degree achieved from a Top-30 University
• An outgoing personality and openness to embrace learning opportunities
• A genuine desire to work with young people and make a difference
• Previous experience working with young people is a bonus but not essential – we are looking for potential
