We’re looking for a proactive and organised Surveying Services Coordinator to join our Asset Management team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers, colleagues, and external partners regarding surveying services. You’ll provide essential administrative, and systems support while directly managing a portfolio of projects and budgets.
Your day-to-day will involve coordinating responses to disrepair claims, managing relationships with Local Authorities for grant-funded adaptations, and leading fencing replacement projects with an annual budget of approximately £200,000. You’ll also support the financial and administrative oversight of heating source budgets ranging from £500,000 to £1 million and assist in delivering energy efficiency programmes funded through the Social Housing Fund Warm Homes initiative.
You’ll handle resident requests for home alterations, respond to complaints and ad hoc information requests, and allocate customer enquiries across the team while monitoring workloads. Administrative duties will include raising works orders, processing invoices, managing purchase orders, and supporting new starters with training and induction. You’ll also provide cover for the Asset Case Administrator and contribute to the organisation’s response to damp and mould issues.
This is a varied and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a real impact on residents’ homes and lives.
About you
You’ll be a confident communicator and natural organiser, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and build strong relationships across teams and with external stakeholders. You’ll have experience managing your own workload with minimal supervision, handling sensitive personal information, and communicating effectively across different mediums. A calm and customer-focused approach is essential, especially when dealing with complaints.
You should be comfortable extracting and interpreting data, writing reports and letters, and using both generic and specialist software. A collaborative mindset and commitment to organisational goals will help you thrive in this role.
Ideally, you’ll bring experience in social housing or property management, along with knowledge of budget monitoring, complaint investigation, and legal principles related to property, landlord and tenant law, contract law, and health and safety. A degree-level education would be advantageous, though not essential.
If you’re ready to take on a role that blends operational coordination, stakeholder engagement, and meaningful project work—this could be the perfect next step in your career.
The successful applicant will require a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate which is considered satisfactory to Housing Solutions.
