About the Role
As a Licensing Support Officer you will be working as part of a team to provide clerical and administrative support to the licensing service that is to a high standard and operated in an efficient and friendly manner and in line with the legal requirements, in particular:
- Answering licensing enquiries and when necessary advising on the requirements of various licenses and registrations;
- Liaising with Council officers and outside agencies in order to progress applications;
- Producing forms documents and correspondence on databases and using Microsoft Office systems including Word and Excel;
- Maintenance of records and files;
- Taking card payments
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Worked with customers in a regulatory environment to promote legal requirements and good practice
- Demonstrate your ability to plan and manage a reactive workload to meet legislative and corporate deadlines
- Have used information technology in the workplace
- This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.
