Hard Landscape Foreperson
Location: London (travel to sites as required)
Hours: Full-time, permanent (37-40 hours per week)
Start Date: ASAP
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Hard Landscape Foreperson to lead high-end construction projects across the London area. This is a key role within a specialist landscaping team, managing the delivery of design-led hard landscaping schemes to the highest standard.
The role requires a motivated and organised individual with proven experience delivering hard landscaping projects from start to finish, while effectively managing a site team and liaising with clients, designers, contractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
As a Hard Landscape Foreperson, your role will include:
Reading and actioning detailed site design plans
Setting out sites with precision, ensuring all work is delivered to specification
Working with a range of hard landscape materials including porcelain, natural stone, clay pavers, and brickwork
Installing surface drainage and formwork
Overseeing specialist installations including irrigation systems and water features
Collaborating with soft landscaping teams to deliver integrated horticultural elements
Managing and motivating landscaping staff on site
Reporting progress to senior management, meeting deadlines and project objectives
Liaising with designers, architects, subcontractors, and clients professionally
Upholding strict Health & Safety standards on site
Requirements
Full, clean UK driving licence
CSCS card (valid)
Skilled in using relevant power tools and equipment
Excellent knowledge and application of Health & Safety procedures
Demonstrable track record in leading hard landscaping projects at a high level
Skills & Qualities
Strong leadership and people management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
Proactive approach to project planning and resource management
Strong organisational and time-management abilities
Resilient under pressure with a can-do attitude
