We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school team on a fixed-term contract from November 2025 until November 2026. You will work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support to pupils across Years 3–6, helping every child reach their full potential.
Duties as a KS2 Teaching Assistant:
Provide classroom support for individuals, small groups and whole-class activities.
Assist in planning and delivering differentiated learning tasks.
Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN or EAL, where required.
Help prepare teaching materials and maintain a positive, well-organised learning environment.
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including trips, clubs and special events.
Ideal KS2 Teaching Assistant:
Relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) is desirable.
Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly in Key Stage 2.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A patient, flexible and proactive approach to supporting learning as a KS2 Teaching Assistant.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
