Your Role:
Manage the Sports Centre’s Sports Assistants, Senior Sports Assistants and Receptionists to deliver a professional service when operating the leisure facilities within Aldershot Garrison.
Responsible for the efficient day to day management of the Centre in addition to undertaking designated areas of responsibility.
Ensure that the quality of service to every customer is of a high standard and is upheld following guidelines to enhance the Centre’s image and to promote good public relations and Customer Care.
Accountable for the preparation of activity areas involving the setting up and dismantling of equipment. Ensure through regular patrolling, that equipment is stored and made secure when not in use.
Deal with complaints and grievances from the public and users of the facilities as required.
Identify maintenance requirements for equipment or the premises and to undertake basic maintenance and/or liaise with the appropriate member of staff on these requirements.
Responsible for adequacy of stock and materials, high standards of cleanliness within the centre and the security of the building through patrolling, including the locking and unlocking of the Centre as required.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications: Hold a GCSE or equivalent English Language and Maths. A Leisure Management Qualification, a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and First Aid at Work qualifications would be advantageous.
Experience: Have excellent communication skills, high customer service standards, Microsoft Office proficiency, and strong numeracy/literacy skills. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a "can do" attitude and team-player approach.
Skills: Can communicate effectively, builds strong relationships, and prioritises customer service and safety. Must understand business operations, embrace change, and align with company values whilst maintaining budgetary awareness.
Training: Maintain a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and work towards becoming a National Pool Lifeguard Trainer/Assessor.
Driving Licence: Full UK valid driving licence required.
