Role: Service/workshop Controller

Location: Exeter, Devon

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 + excellent benefits (can be negotiable)

Hours: Mon–Fri, 8am – 4:30pm

Due to exceptional growth and success, we are supporting a thriving company to recruit for an experienced service/workshop controller. To keep their momentum going, we’re looking for an experienced and driven Service Controller to join their team.

The Role

As a Service/Workshop Controller, you’ll be the key link between customers, engineers, and parts team. You’ll ensure smooth day-to-day operations, delivering industry-leading customer service while keeping their workforce efficient and productive.



Your responsibilities will include:

Handling customer calls and logging breakdowns

Prioritising and scheduling repair jobs to meet SLA deadlines

Coordinating diaries for service, quoted works, and completions

Managing communication between customers, engineers, and the parts team

Driving performance while keeping jobs on track and on time

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in managing remote engineering teams

Strong organisational and communication skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Commercial awareness and resource planning skills

Knowledge of material handling equipment is a bonus (training provided for the right candidate!)
