The Role
Working within a dynamic and supportive team, The HR & Payroll Assistant will provide proactive, organised and professional administration support to the HR team. This incorporates administrative support for all aspects of the employment lifecycle, with a key focus to support our Payroll Manager.
Primary responsibilities include
Provide support to our Payroll Manager to process multiple payrolls on a monthly cycle
Gather, calculate, and input payroll data, maintaining confidential records and systems
To provide data analysis as required, such as gender pay audit and pension scheme members
Update and maintain our payroll systems with new joiner details, promotions, salary changes and annual entitlements.
Respond to queries in person and electronically, this may include questions about pay, benefits, policies & procedures, holiday entitlement
Collate reports using data within our HRIS and payroll system and provide insight and recommendations to the HR team.
To assist the recruitment process including placing adverts, coordinating interviews, preparing interview packs and filing interview paperwork
To assist with new joiner administration including the preparation of contracts, welcome packs, seeking references and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) applications
Support the leaver process by preparing appropriate documentation and exit interviews

About You
Our ideal colleague will have previous experience in a fast-paced HR or Payroll environment supporting approximately 700 employees. You will have with a broad range of experience in the use of software packages such as HRIS systems and Microsoft Office. As you would expect, you’ll need to have exceptional numerical aptitude with an eye for detail along with a passion to provide a professional and timely service for enquiries. You’ll work well under pressure with a varied workload and have experience of preparing employment related correspondence and also the ability to use data and insight to inform decision making and process improvement.
We offer hybrid working with this role with a requirement to attend the office 3 days per week.
