About the Role Every step we take in podiatry is about helping patients maintain independence, prevent foot complications and manage any foot problems when they do occur. As a Podiatry Assistant, youll be right at the heart of this, working closely with our podiatrists and patients across a variety of settings. Youll play an active role in clinics, supporting with wound and ulcer care, preparing treatment rooms and ensuring everything runs smoothly. You will also run your own basic footcare clinics, providing nail care and foot health support, under podiatrist guidance. Youll also be out and about in the community, carrying out home visits and helping patients manage their foot health in their own surroundings. Your day-to-day will be varied and rewarding, with responsibilities that may include: Assisting podiatrists in surgical and specialist clinics. Running basic footcare clinics and domiciliary visits. Supporting patients with dressings, self-care advice and education. Managing stock, clinic preparation and clinical administration. What Were Looking For A caring, motivated individual with great communication skills. A Level 3 healthcare qualification (or equivalent experience).
