We are seeking a Planning Assistant to join Lovell’s South West region, based in Exeter.
About the role
As the Planning Assistant, your primary function will be to assist the Head of Planning & Development on all planning activities in the region in relation to all aspects of Mixed Tenure Developments & Development Contracts, both short and long term. This will ensure that appropriate planning consents are obtained, whilst ensuring costs are managed effectively and reviewed.
You will assist in the preparation of pre planning programs & budgets along with the co-ordination of the planning design and submission / consultation / discharge processes. You’ll manage pre-planning costs and report accordingly as well as maintain planning condition trackers for all developments.
In addition, you will support the land team in the preparation of planning appraisals for new land opportunities and liaise with internal and external clients by various methods of communication.
About you
To be considered, all we ask is that you hold the following:
Planning & Development experience
Knowledge of Planning techniques
Knowledge and understanding of research methodologies
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The ability to form and develop relationships with key clients
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher); experience with document management systems an advantage.
