Crynodeb
You will manage the activity of peer support staff directly where needed, including their supervision, appraisal and development. You will work in partnership with the services and clinical teams who employ peer support workers, to support workforce planning and growth, including in the recruitment, retention and development of peer support workers in the services where you work. You will need to develop positive working relationships across SPFT services and its third sector partners to promote and develop opportunities for people with lived experience to contribute creatively at all levels. You will contribute to service development and enable peer support workers and Experts by Experience to do so, as an equal partner. Understanding the local community services and needs you will work with the Trust and third sector partners to strengthen peer support opportunities, both formal and informal. Alongside the Peer Support team and other partners, you will evaluate the impact of peer support outcomes in individual and group work and in different settings, adding to the evidence base of what makes peer support effective. By attending peer support networks, you will increase your knowledge of current developments and disseminate findings to enhance peer support delivery. You will maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies in relation to service user groups, peer support and mental health.
