To contribute to raising standards and student outcomes in the department and whole school ● To teach effectively and maximise students’ achievements ● To foster a positive approach to learning ● To contribute to the development of the department and the whole school ● To consistently meet the DfE Teachers’ Standards ● To promote the school’s aims and values ● To plan lessons in line with agreed schemes of work ● To assess student performance and maintain records ● To maintain attractive, well ordered classroom environment ● To deploy a range of teaching and learning styles which meet students’ needs ● To contribute to the formulation and implementation of the Department Development Plan and other department initiatives ● To provide data on students as required by school’s monitoring and reporting systems ● To write student reports and attend Parents’ Evenings ● To participate in school’s meetings structure ● To manage his/her classroom in accordance with the school’s Behaviour Policy ● To manage resources ● To work within and help to develop school policies ● To act as a form tutor within the school’s system for pastoral care ● To perform any duties consistent with the nature, level and grade of the post ● The post holder may also be required to undergo training in order to undertake duties of the post in an efficient manner
