Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable young people to thrive in education?

Do you have experience working with care-experienced learners, young carers, or young parents?

If so, we’d love to hear from you! We’re looking for a dedicated Inclusion Officer to join our Safeguarding and Learner Welfare Team. This rewarding role focuses on coordinating holistic support for vulnerable students, helping them overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Acting as a keyworker for identified students, advocating for their needs in meetings such as PEPs and EHCP reviews.
Coordinating educational and pastoral support in collaboration with curriculum teams, student services, and external agencies.
Supporting transitions from application to enrolment for vulnerable applicants.
Delivering targeted interventions and monitoring student progress and attendance.
Representing the college at internal and external events related to student welfare.
Being an active member of the safeguarding team, contributing to staff training and guidance.
What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with young people aged 16–18 in an FE setting.
Knowledge of the challenges faced by care-experienced learners, young carers, and young parents.
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
A qualification in youth work, teaching, or a related field.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
