We’re looking for a People Development Officer to join our busy HR team and play a key role in shaping how we support and develop our staff across Loughborough College Group.

As a People Development Officer, you’ll be responsible for curating and delivering training that supports career progression, working closely with managers to create departmental plans, and leading the delivery of our Workforce Development Plan.

You’ll also support performance management, oversee appraisals and probation plans, and help shape and deliver our Employee and Leadership Excellence Programmes. You’ll carry out training needs analyses, evaluate the impact of development initiatives, and coordinate succession planning across the college group.

You’ll also work closely with managers and the Teacher Education team to make sure staff who need teaching or assessing qualifications are supported to achieve them. Whether it’s helping someone get started on a qualification or guiding them through the process, you’ll play a key role in making sure our teams have the skills they need to succeed.

We’re looking for someone who’s confident, organised, and passionate about people development. You should be confident to work with accrediting bodies, supporting apprenticeships, and keeping up to date with the latest training methods. You will be a strong communicator, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the college group and are able to adapt your approach to different audiences.
