An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 MDT Co-ordinator within Cancer Services .

Working with existing MDT Co-ordinator's, providing full support in all aspects of this role providing MDT Co-ordinator cover across all tumour groups.

You will be responsible for data collection, inputting and facilitating MDT and SMDT meetings. Meetings involve discussing patient referrals to The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Tertiary Trusts.

Working closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialists and the Multi-Disciplinary Teams within a speciality as well as the rest of the Cancer Services Team.

Enthusiasm, commitment and flexibility are required for this role along with excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with excellent attention to detail is absolutely essential.

As part of your role you will be responsible for:

Regional and Local MDT Meetings. Co-ordinating and providing administrative support to the cancer S/LMDT(s), ensuring all relevant paperwork, clinical information is available. To attend S/MDT’S keeping comprehensive records of attendance and outcomes as discussed.

Data collection and analysis. Ensuring data collection is undertaken, assuring accuracy at all times using the Somerset Cancer Register data collection system.

Analysing target breaches and report to the Head of Cancer Services and Lead MDT clinician.
