Work pattern: 10 hours per week (part-time)

Are you someone who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? Do you enjoy helping others and being part of a close-knit community? Cairn Housing Association is looking for a reliable and friendly Handyperson to join our team at Adam Grossert Court.

This is a valued role where you’ll help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for our tenants, many of whom are older adults by carrying out small repairs, keeping communal areas tidy, and supporting safety checks.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Providing a helpful and approachable presence in the court, supporting tenants with day-to-day needs.
Carrying out minor repairs and general upkeep to ensure the building remains safe and welcoming.
Monitor the standard of repairs carried out to ensure quality and value for money service is provided.
Monitoring the quality of repair work and reporting any issues to the appropriate team.
Assisting with weekly fire alarm checks and other safety tasks.
Supporting water temperature testing and showerhead cleaning when needed.

What We’re Looking For:
Practical skills in DIY and general maintenance.
A friendly, respectful manner and good communication skills.
Someone who can work independently and take initiative.
An understanding of confidentiality and how to communicate appropriately with different people.
A Basic Disclosure will be required for this role.
