Ready to use your skills to guide and support others while making a real difference to children and young peoples mental health? As a Supervising Practitioner, in our amazing North & West Birmingham Mental Health Support Team (MHST) youll play a key role in improving the emotional wellbeing of children and young people with mild to moderate needs. Working closely with schools, youll deliver evidence-based interventions, provide consultation and training, and support link meetings and audits that strengthen whole-school approaches to mental health. Youll also provide supervision, reflective spaces, and day-to-day guidance for Educational Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and trainees, helping them to feel skilled, supported and safe in their practice. Your role will be central in creating a culture of reflective practice, ensuring safe and effective care, and driving quality across the team. Youll hold a small caseload yourself, ensuring you stay connected to direct practice, while also influencing wider systems through collaboration with Team Leaders, senior mental health leads, and the wider Compass team. Whether shaping interventions, embedding good practice, or building staff confidence, your guidance will have a lasting impact across schools and communities. If you believe every child should feel safe, supported and able to thrive, and you are ready to stand alongside the people making that happen, then wed love to hear from you.
