An excitingand innovativeopportunityfor a Band 5 Occupational Therapistto join the Newham Hospitaltherapy team has come up under the Annex 21 Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions. The roleis offered as a12-monthaccelerated training and educationopportunityto become a band 6.With successful completion of the competency framework resulting ina permanent position within the band 6 rotation program at Newham Hospital. Areas includeAccident and Emergency,Acute Assessment Unit,Cardiac, Respiratory, Amputee/Surgical, Intensive Treatment Unit (ITU),andHealth Care of the Elderly.

You will be provided with regular supervision, focused CPD activities and a clear pathway for completion of your training to enable you to undertake all duties as indicatedwithin this Band 6 OT job description.

As per Annexe 21, during the 12 months of training, your starting salaryrepresents75% of the maximum of band 6. You will remain on 75% pay of the maximum of band 6 until successful completion of your competencies when you will be moved to 100% of theminimumband 6 pay.

• We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to provide high qualityinterventions to a wide variety of patients including the advanced assessment and treatment of patients, provision of individual and group education and treatment, provision of assistive devices and equipment, minor structural home adaptations and provision of complex disability management and advocacy services.
