Summary


Are you a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist eager to advance your career in a research-driven environment? Join Whipps Cross Hospital, a Centre of Excellence in Frailty and the centre for NOF fractures for Barts Health, where compassionate care and innovation come together.
We are seeking a confident Band 7 Occupational Therapist with strong leadership skills and a broad T&O background to lead our dedicated therapy team. Our orthopaedic wards follow the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol for NOF fractures, improving outcomes through evidence-based practice.


In this role, you will lead a skilled team delivering specialist assessments and interventions across complex T&O and rehabilitation caseloads. You will work within a multidisciplinary team and champion best practice in orthopaedic care alongside your peer Advanced Clinical Academic Fellow B7 T&O Physiotherapist and Band 8a Advanced Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in T&O.

To play a major and specialist role in the advanced assessment, treatment, clinical management and discharge planning of patients admitted to the orthopaedic wards determining clinical diagnosis, functional deficits, treatment programs and discharge planning.
