What you'll be doing

Join UK Parliament as a Resilience and Business Support Officer and play a pivotal role in keeping our democratic institutions functioning in the face of disruption. Based in the Corporate Resilience Team, you'll help strengthen both operational and organisational resilience across the House of Commons and House of Lords, supporting Parliament's mission to remain safe, effective and adaptive.

You'll lead on training delivery, oversee resilience systems, manage performance data, and help coordinate incident response efforts. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to resilience planning within one of the most high-profile institutions in the country.

This role is offered on a hybrid working basis, with an expectation of you spending 60% of your time in the office.

What we're looking for.

We're looking for someone with the drive and potential to develop in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Your key skills will include:

  • You'll currently hold a qualification and/or professional membership in a business continuity, emergency planning or incident management discipline e.g. certified membership of the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Experience in using data tools like Excel or Power BI to present information clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach and a commitment to inclusion.
  • Confidence in managing information systems and handling sensitive data appropriately.
