JOB TITLE: Minibus Driver(s)

BASE: Tinsley Meadows Primary Academy

EMPLOYER: Five Rivers Multi Academy Trust

CONTRACT: Permanent

HOURS: 15 or 7.5 hours per week (split shift – 8.45 – 10.15 then 1.45 – 3.15)

WEEKS PER YEAR: 38 weeks per year (term time only)

GRADE / SALARY: NJC Grade 3 prorata£8,422 (£12.85 per hour)

CLOSING DATE: midnight, 25 September 2025

INTERVIEW DATE: W/C 29 September 2025

Five Rivers Multi-Academy Trust are seeking to appoint a dedicated minibus driver(s) who can support with transport to and from our Alternative Provisions located at Tinsley Meadows Primary Academy.

We are looking for candidates who:

• have a category D minibus driving license
• are resilient, caring and compassionate, treating children and colleagues with respect as individuals
• are an effective team player and will contribute to the whole school community

The role involves:

• driving the Trust minibuses in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Highway Code, the City Council’s Code of Practice for minibus drivers and training provided by the Road Safety Unit of the Council to maintain pupil, staff and public safety whilst on the highway
• carrying out daily visual checks and basic maintenance for the vehicles eg. oil levels, cleaning of vehicles, etc.
• Liaison with the Escort as appropriate to check that seat belts are fastened, and bags and equipment is secured and ensure that the safety of pupils and staff is maintained at all times
• Maintaining accurate records of vehicle usage
