Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity are the official charity of Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust (CHFT). The charity operates under the NHS Foundation Trust corporate trusteeship, with a Charitable Funds Committee (CFC) to manage day to day operations. The charity raises, manages and distributes funds on behalf of CHFT in order to enhance and support patient care/experience and provide funding for projects, initiatives and equipment that are over and above the remit of NHS funding.Were here to bring moments of joy, comfort and hope to those who need it most. We help our Trust and our colleagues to do even more to treat and care for patients. We push the limits of what is possible where the NHS is unable to. We do thisincreasing awareness, fundraising, and engaging with our communities, we aim to make everything from a home visit to stay in hospital memorable for all the right reasons Working with CHFT colleagues, to identify ways to make a positive difference to patient experience and fund the things which matter most to patients and staff. The Fundraising Coordinator is an integral part of the Charity team, having knowledge and experience of fundraising and considerable energy and enthusiasm that will inspire patients, visitors and the local community to choose to support Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity. The post-holder will contribute to the successful performance of thecharity by project developing and managing a variety fundraising campaigns and initiatives to develop range of income streamsand providing a positive and engaging supporter experience that champions the values and ethos of the charity. The post is an important link between the charity, CHFT employees and the local community. The post-holder will build an understanding of NHS donor audiences and their motivations to give and will deliver a seamless and unique donor experience to every individual connecting with the charity, ensuring that respectful, genuine and engaging relationships are formed with a wide range of people with diverse needs and wishes. The post-holder will be expected to work in close collaboration with colleagues across CHFT and will enjoy working in a creative and innovative environment. Whilst working alongside a professional team of other charity and financial staff, the post-holder will also be expected to work independently and autonomously, mobilising fundraising projects and initiatives, and in doing so ensure they are working within Trust guidelines and charity law to safeguard the reputation and standing of the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity.
