Green Skills and Construction Development Lead
£41,014 gross per annum plus a market premium of up to £5000 per annum to be paid to the successful candidate based on their qualifications and experience.
The market premium will be reviewed annually.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join an aspirational College with big plans. As the College Construction Development Lead, you will work in close partnership with the Curriculum, Commercial and Business Development team and the Head of School to develop and position the College’s offer for Construction covering Green Skills, Renewable Technology and Sustainability. This role will support the growth of learner numbers and create further industry links to ensure delivery models meet employer needs on a local, regional and national level.
You will be involved in the co-creation and delivery of the curriculum and develop resources to support employer need for provision including Full time provision, T Levels, Apprenticeships and Commercial provision. The post holder would also be involved with the delivery of other provision within the Construction department in addition to supporting employer engagement and reputation enhancing for FE and HE.
A key focus of the role is to support the development of students’ employability skills and the industrial currency of the staff within the Centre. The role will, therefore, support opportunities in realistic work environments (RWE) in the Centre.
What we are looking for
You should hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Construction and a Level 2 qualification in English and maths. You should also hold a PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification and be qualified to TAQA (A1,D32, 33) or willing to work towards. You should have excellent sector experience with good knowledge of local and regional employers along with relevant industrial and / or professional experience in the areas of Construction, Green Skills, Renewable Technology and Sustainability.
