Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications.

Collaborate with designers, product managers, and stakeholders to align software with project goals.

Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.

Troubleshoot and debug applications, ensuring performance and reliability.

Stay current with emerging technologies in game development, AI, and sustainability solutions.

(Role-Specific)

Game Development: Build interactive features, implement game mechanics, and optimise for performance across platforms.

AI Carbon Footprint Software: Apply AI and machine learning to analyse, predict, and calculate carbon footprints; ensure accuracy in environmental data modelling.

Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, C#, or JavaScript).

Experience with software development frameworks and version control (e.g., Git).

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Ability to work in Agile or Scrum teams.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Role-Specific Skills:

Game Development: Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar platforms; knowledge of graphics, physics engines, and user interaction.

AI Carbon Footprint Software: Strong understanding of AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), data modelling, and knowledge of AI and carbon calculation (must-have).

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, AI, or related field.

Relevant project or industry experience in either game development or AI sustainability software.

A strong portfolio or examples of past projects are highly desirable.
