What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a part-time Administration Assistant due to an existing member of staff reducing their hours. Ideally, we would like the appointee to start during the week commencing 3 November.
The post is 16 hours per week, term-time only. The working hours will be 8.00 am to 4.30 pm on Thursdays and Fridays.
The post is paid on Grade 4 £26,403 - £ 28,598 (pro-rata) which means the actual salary will be approximately £9,568- £10,363.
The Administration Assistant plays a key role in the day to day operations of the school office. They deal with enquiries from parents, visitors, staff and pupils as well as carrying out a range of administrative and finance tasks. They use a range of applications including Microsoft Office, payment and communication systems, SIMS pupil database and FMS finance system. Experience of these specific systems is not essential as training can be provided but you will need to have good general ICT skills and proactive approach to learning. We are looking for someone who:
• Is approachable and organised with good attention to detail.
• Is able to prioritise their work effectively and remain calm when dealing with competing priorities.
• Has good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
• Is a team player with a collaborative and flexible approach.
• Ideally, has first aid training or is willing to complete it.
