St Elphege’s Schools are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants across the infant and junior schools.St. Elphege’s Infant School and St. Elphege’s Junior School are part of the Sancta Familia Catholic Academy Trust. Our schools are friendly and caring places where we enjoy good relationships between dedicated staff, pupils, parents, governors, parishes and local community.
The schools welcome families and staff from the Catholic faith, as well as those from many other faith backgrounds and those of no faith. Our community is exceptionally diverse yet beautifully cohesive; we embrace and celebrate the richness that such diversity brings. This is reflected in our staff teams where dedicated and enthusiastic professionals from a range of backgrounds, cultures and faiths work harmoniously to ensure the best possible provision for the children in our care.We are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants who are :
• Highly motivated, creative and well organised
• Able to work with a range of pupils of varying ability and age
• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification
• Be a great team player who can collaborate with others and contribute to the smooth functioning and workings of the school
• Be able to adapt activities and facilitate learning for individuals
• Be able to engage pupils so they enjoy and make progress in their learning and understanding
• Provide learning experiences which develop the whole child so that they can gain the independence and skills they need to prepare them for adulthood
