Temporary Level 1 Behaviour Mentor Required until March 2026 to cover Maternity Leave

Grade 5 (pt 11-14) Actual Salary £21006.99 - £22787.71 (pay award pending)
We are seeking an enthusiastic, resilient, Level 1 Behaviour Mentor with excellent interpersonal skills to work within our school.
We welcome applications from experienced SEND Teaching Assistants who have experience of working with children with ASD, language and communication difficulties and significant SEMH needs. The successful candidate will have proven experience within a school/classroom setting and ideally have experience of successfully delivering at least one type of intervention programme. Previous experience working with children with challenging behaviour is essential.
Applicants will be required to work 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 days INSET (39 weeks per year): Monday – Friday, 8.45am – 3.45pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Behaviour Mentor, or an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who wishes to take the next step within their career to work with and support primary aged children within our PRU. The successful candidate must: • Have previous significant SEMH & ASD experience. • Able and willing to undertake appropriate training. • Good communication and interpersonal/listening skills. • Has proven experience/involvement of SEND strategies. • Can support and maintain records of SEND provision. • Meet the well-being, personal care and hygiene needs of our children. • Be committed to removing barriers to learning and supporting personal and academic growth. • Have previous experience working with children with challenging behaviour is essential.
