We are looking for an enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students and teachers across a range of subjects and year groups. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and helping them achieve their full potential. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as a Secondary Teaching Assistant:
Provide in-class support to individuals and small groups, ensuring all pupils can access the curriculum.
Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and resource management.
Help students develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits.
Support pupils with additional needs, implementing strategies set by the SENCO or class teacher.
Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities when required.
Ideal Secondary Teaching Assistant:
Previous experience working with secondary-age students is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a Secondary Teaching Assistant.
Ability to build positive relationships with young people and staff.
A patient, flexible, and proactive approach to learning support.
Valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
