Housing Condition Claims Administrator
Based in Essex
Permanent Role
£27-28K per annum
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in managing housing condition claims, including opening and maintaining case files.
- Process legal documents, correspondence, and reports for solicitors, tenants, and contractors.
- Monitor case progress to ensure compliance with statutory and court deadlines.
- Liaise with tenants, contractors, and legal representatives to coordinate inspections, repairs, and case updates.
- Maintain accurate records in housing management systems and produce reports as required.
- Support the team in responding to legal queries and requests for information, ensuring adherence to data protection regulations.
- Assist in preparing court documents and disclosures in line with the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Condition Claims.
- Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action points.
- Provide general administrative support, including, raising purchase orders, and maintaining filing systems.
What We're Looking For:
- Prior experience gained within a repairs and maintenance environment (for a contractor, client or both) is essential.
- Experience of working in Soft FM would be preferred.
- IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
- Knowledge of MRI advantageous but not essential
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Customer focussed with the ability to use initiative to solve routine issues.
- A collaborative approach, pro-active approach with the confidence and ability to communicate with key clients and customers.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Previous experience or internships in a similar role are a plus!
Working arrangements
- Full-time, Permanent
- Office based, with some flexibility available (a minimum of 4 days in office)
- Salary £28,000 per annum
