Job description:

Total Foodservice owned by the Kitwave Group, has a strong reputation for excellent service and is highly regarded with caterers throughout Yorkshire and North West. With Depots in Clitheroe, Dunnington, Huddersfield and Hull the business is focused on customer service by maintaining a high level of service characterised by our guiding principle “deliver on promise”.

We offer a one stop shop across Ambient, Chilled, Frozen and Non food items, with a product range is excess of 3000 lines. We also have introduced fresh fruit and vegetables.

The expansive range caters for our loyal customer base, which is made up of pubs, restaurants, hotels, cafes, leisure complex, care homes and schools.

We have an exciting opportunity for a delivery driver to join our team based at our Clitheroe Depot.

Responsibilities:

· Deliver our product range to customers across the country from the Midlands to the North, ensuring customer satisfaction is at the forefront of your role.

· Monitor the condition of the vehicles before use and report any damage / defects for repair in line with VOSA.

· Maintain all appropriate paperwork for deliveries, including, return and credit paperwork, collections, and purchases.

· Maintain the standards as set by the company and the FSA in relation to food integrity and quality ensuring the relevant documentation is completed to prove quality and cold chain is preserved.

· To deliver the right goods to the right customer.

· To collect appropriate paperwork (delivery sheets etc.) from customers and return to the depot.

· Collect customer returns and record all customer comments for follow up.

· Identify potential new customers on the delivery round.

· Identify growth opportunities with current customers

· Record vehicle storage unit temperatures during the delivery round and protect the integrity of the food and cold chains.

· Maintain vehicle logs and fuel logs for the vehicles.

· To be fully aware of security, safety and emergency procedures.

· To obey the rules of the road and drive safely at all times.

· To comply with Health and Safety legislation and the requirements of the Company Policy.

· Full, Clean driving licence, no previous bans, held for one year +

· Must hold a Class 2 Licence

· Must have good geographical knowledge

Customer service skills are essential as the role is very customer focused

·Have good communication skills, and a professional attitude

·Fork lift licenses (counter balance) although training can be provided

Hours of Work

40 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Saturday
