The Project Support role sits within the HQ’s Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Interoperability (C5I) Team.
The C5I team provides technical support to current and future activities of HQ ARRC and its subordinate units whilst both deployed and in-barracks. This includes sourcing C5I systems and services, and administration of associated budgets and procurement processes.
The post is pivotal to the efficient management of the C5I Requirements Pillar by directly enabling and supporting delivery of Command and Information Services ‘Business as Usual’ (BaU) and change and transition project activity, including Innovation and Exploitation tasks. This is delivered through effective co-ordination of project management processes and associated financial and business management taskings. There is scope to become professionalised in Project Management via the MODs apprenticeship scheme and opportunity to become familiar with MOD finance and purchasing systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Monitor all C5I project expenditure against approved funding
Financial forecasting and reporting
Ensure adequate justification and affordability scrutiny is applied to requirements
Procurement of requirements as per current policy
Proactively identify and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure operational needs are met
Provide general support to the C5I Pillar including action tracking, governance, reporting, risks, and assurance as tasked.
Remote working within this role is something that can be discussed at interview stages or with your future line manager if you are found successful.
Please note, candidates will be redirected to the Civil Service Jobs website where you will need to submit your application form.
