We specialise mainly in Family Law and also in Criminal Defence, working with people at some of the most challenging moments of their lives. From helping parents secure child arrangements to supporting clients through criminal proceedings, our mission is to provide clear advice, strong representation, and compassionate support.
The Role
As our new Admin Assistant, you’ll be the backbone of our legal team. No two days will be the same. One day you might be preparing client letters or organising court bundles, the next you’ll be helping a solicitor juggle a busy diary or taking a call from a client who really needs reassurance.
You’ll work mainly on family law cases, with the chance to get involved in criminal defence support too. This is the perfect role for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys supporting others, and wants to see the direct impact of their work on clients’ lives.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting and proofreading client letters and emails with accuracy and care
Managing client files and tracking important deadlines
Scheduling appointments and keeping the team on track
Handling post and court correspondence
Answering client calls with professionalism and empathy
Assisting with preparation of court bundles and legal forms (family and criminal)
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings more than just admin skills. You’ll need:
Sharp attention to detail – mistakes can cost clients time and money
Strong work ethic – reliable, punctual, and proactive
Excellent client-handling skills – able to put people at ease when they’re under stress
Confident written and verbal communication
IT proficiency (Word and Outlook essential)
A flexible, team-player mindset – happy to help across both family and criminal departments
High attendance and reliability are essential. We value commitment and consistency in your work over a “perfect” CV.
Important – Please Read Before Applying
To be considered, you must:
Be available to work in-office, 30–37 hours per week
Be able to commute reliably to Bromley (no more than a 45 minute commute)
Provide a short covering note explaining why you are interested in working in family and criminal law
You’ll be asked to do a short writing exercise at interview to show your attention to detail.
Applications without a covering note will not be considered.
What We Offer
A stable, full-time role in a friendly, supportive team
Varied experience across Family Law and Criminal Defence
The chance to make a genuine difference to people’s lives
A clear path to grow into a Paralegal Admin role if you want to develop a career in law
Competitive salary within a 30–37 hour working week
