Location: Shotton, Cheshire (CH5)
Salary: £48,867 - £58,641 per annum (depending on experience)
Bonus: Performance-based quarterly bonus
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - Day Shift

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrical Engineer to join a leading industrial site in Shotton. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term career prospects and excellent benefits. The role will focus on the maintenance, development, and compliance of high voltage electrical infrastructure within a demanding operational environment.

This position would suit a self-motivated engineer with strong technical skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and enhancement of high voltage (HV) electrical systems across the site.

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and internal health & safety regulations.

  • Provide technical leadership and support for projects involving HV infrastructure.

  • Plan and coordinate routine and preventative maintenance activities.

  • Diagnose and resolve HV electrical faults efficiently to reduce downtime.

  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external contractors.

  • Identify opportunities for system improvements in reliability, performance, and safety.

Essential Requirements:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.

  • Proven experience in the maintenance and operation of high voltage electrical systems, ideally within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation relating to HV systems.

  • Demonstrated ability in fault-finding, problem-solving, and risk management.

  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Desirable: Familiarity with continuous improvement practices (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma). Knowledge of industry standards related to HV system management. Benefits:
