What skills and experience we're looking for
Furzedown Primary School is seeking an exceptional School Business Manager (SBM) to join our Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our school at a time of growth and development.
As a key member of the Leadership Team, you will provide strategic leadership and operational excellence across finance, HR, premises, IT, health & safety, and administration. You will ensure that resources are managed efficiently, ethically, and sustainably — enabling the very best outcomes for our children.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has proven experience in financial and resource management, ideally in an education setting.
• Is a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Can communicate a clear vision and inspire confidence across staff, governors, parents and external partners.
• Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion and the values of our school community.
